Last Friday and Saturday the Consorzio del Brunello celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Friday night, in the beautiful medieval Fortress of Montalcino the gala dinner took place. It was prepared by the Cerea brothers from 3 Michelin star restaurant, Da Vittorio, from Bergamo.
In the picture on the right (Fratelli Cerea) they are in the middle together with the President of the Consorzio (at their left) and the governor of a local charity called Misericordia, responsible for managing health and emergency services in the territory of Montalcino. During the dinner, in fact, all of the proceeds from the Consorzio sold the 50th Anniversary celebratory boxes were donated to Misericordia. The intent of the dinner was not only to enjoy some time together celebrating the Consorzio, but also doing something good and tangible for the territory. The evening ended with beautiful fireworks.
Another conference was held Saturday about the future of Montalcino and its wines: different people intervened and they discussed the increasing demand of wines from Montalcino, a trend that is expected to grow. Our manager and winemaker Fabrizio Bindocci also intervened as President of the Fondazione Territoriale Brunello di Montalcino, a new association that intends to invest in voluntary contributions of the winery in different projects and activities, mainly devoted to implementing social and health services, as those carried out by the Misericordia.
